Perichron, n. the point in the path of an object orbiting or passing Saturn closest to the center of the planet. Also, an independent game developer in the northeast USA, officially created in 2019 after many years of unofficial (more-or-less) existence.
We are a small (one-person!) studio specializing in retro-styled, space-themed games for the Windows PC. Our goal is to create the games you just can't seem to find these days, forged from equal parts forgotten history, arcane theory, and wild experimentation. Our influences include a whole bunch of Mac and PC shareware and freeware games from the '90s and early '00s, various custom map types for Starcraft: Brood War, and occasionally some normal games that other people might have heard of (but mostly the other kinds). Our design process has been known to include random bits of ancient (and non-ancient) philosophy, gratuitous iconoclasm, and excessive quantities of coffee and wasabi peas. Our games are made with love, thought, and perhaps just a touch of functioning insanity.
